Reviewed by: Shaheta S. Pickett Superb, stunning, surprising and straight hustling. Victoria's Secret takes the motto "using what you have to get what you want" to another level. The love that was built by pure fate is definitely unbreakable. Teasing, taunting, tricking and teaching lessons while walking the strip in the alley of the board walk in the nation's capital Washington D.C. Babyface is smooth as a baby's bottom if not smoother than the game that Victoria Gray taught him at the sweet age of sixteen. She prowled the streets, robbed the pimps, and went against the street code, which was a joy ride and a gambling journey. Babyface honored Victoria's promising oath, to honor, cherish, love and protect his brat camp while they worked their magic of tricking at all cost. Babyface's beauty was ultimately the motivation but to Victoria, she owed her life to him and even more for trading her in for the grand finale. Adrenaline rushed, life moved quickly, but slowed down once Babyface continued reading a diary he wishes he never found. There was trust in his face and needles in his heart once he figured out Victoria's secret. A secret that could have been better off in the grave. Victoria dreamed while in her life threatening coma but Babyface experienced a nightmare while awake. True, they had plenty in common although she was the only one with the option of waking up. He fulfilled his dreams but was forced to live his nightmare which took him to the first day he met Victoria. The first day he saved her life was the first day he took the oath to take care of her for life and death. Victoria’s Secret is a smashing hit, nothing like it since Black Girl Lost by Donald Goines. Jason Poole painted the pictures of the streets with real color. What I like best about this book? What I didn't like about this book? How could this author improve this book?
