With over 16 years experience in the securities industry as a Certified Financial Planner and Senior Advisor, Nicole Simpson, wife and mother of two children, was working on the seventy-third floor in the World Trade Center, building two, on the morning of September 11, 2001. "I had come into my office and laid my briefcase down. I was preparing to speak to one of the interns from the teamÖthat's when Tower One was hit," says Nicole in her second tome, The Ultimate Plan: A Financial Survival Guide for Life's Unexpected Events. Unlike the thousands of individuals who lost their life, Nicole safely escaped that catastrophe by a hair's breadth. What if? What would have happened, if I had not survived? What if I were permanently disabled? What was the state of my household? Did I have a plan in place? All those questions popped into Nicole's head several days after her near death experience.

Nicole and her family were considered middle class. They lived in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood. But their home was not paid in full. She and her husband relied on each other's income to maintain their standard of living. "If I had not survived, would my husband have to worry about how the bills were going to be paid the following month? Better yet, could he lose the house because he can no longer afford to meet the monthly mortgage payments? Would my family have to suffer emotionally with losing a wife and mother and simultaneously be subject to moving back to the very same neighborhood we worked so hard to get out of? Did I have insurance in place? Did I have emergency cash set aside?" Fortunate for the Simpson's, a plan was in place. What about you? Do you have a plan in place when the unexpected occurs?

The Ultimate Plan is an updated version of Nicole's first book, Planning for a Reason, a Season, and a Lifetime. Her basis for writing the above mentioned books was a result of her 9/11 experience. In The Ultimate Plan, Nicole's focal point is disaster planning. "As an international celebrity who acquired significant financial gain as a teenager, I was ill-prepared and without a plan of action to position myself financially for the future," says Pamela Longóformer member of the platinum selling R&B group, Totalóon Nicole's website. "The Ultimate Plan has provided me with the necessary tools to strategically recover from past mistakes and move forward successfully in every area of my life."

The Ultimate Plan is an insightful road map full of the necessary information for those interested in getting their financial life on point before a disaster strikes.

What did you like best about this book?
The invaluable lessons on financial planning.

What did you dislike about this book?
The table of contents was carelessly done. It is totally out of order. For example, the table of contents has the Estate Planning chapter beginning on page 115; however, the Estate Planning chapter begins on page 103, the Revelation chapter begins on page 115, but the table of contents shows that it begins on page 131. This type of screw up is unacceptable in a published book, especially a revised edition.

How can the author improve this book?
Proof read, proof read, proof read!!!
