Rebel is your typical drug-dealing, hustling, ruthless street-cat who is quick to leave slugs in skulls on his rise to ghetto stardom. He has everything at his disposal: crooked cops, a major Colombian drug connect and savage street soldiers ready at his command. All of his motives are realized through murder, sex, money and his connection to big-time drug dealers doesn't hurt either.

Tangy is his sidekick, lover and friend. She is drop-dead gorgeous and just as heartless and treacherous as Rebel. She leads her own, all female crew of street runners and soldiers. Together Rebel and Tangy make for a present day Bonnie & Clyde.

Through the chain of events that unfold, Rebel executes undercover police authorities, who are clued-up to his activities. Pusher, one of Rebels street Lieutenants, gets arrested. Tec, one of Tangy's female goons, is on the hunt for blood after one of her family members was kidnapped. And the story develops further with the basis being bang, bang shoot 'em up, kill.

The Streets Love No One is nothing more than a tale of greed, betrayal, murder and mayhem. Surely there were several twists and turns, only none were surprising and whatever ones were present certainly weren't enough to put the book on the map. There were many character traits that were needlessly added in or forgotten through the development of the story which caused for confusion at many instances and made the story dicey. For example, Rebel caressed his gun continuously throughout the book without a point, although this character trait could be a symbol of many underlying character flaws, it was not properly added to the story for it to have as large an impact on the character as it could. Jack is a Jamaican drug lord who is the rival to Rebel and Tangy, he talks with an accent but at times he doesn't, without reason. These oversights paired with a skeletal story made for a tough read.

What did you dislike about this book?
I'm not crazy about the book cover; it didn't illustrate what The Streets Love No One was about. All you have is a female in front of a city. The description of each character's wardrobe was very distracting and it seemed to slow down the progression of story. It also had many characters that were not significant and distracted from the plot. Lastly, the story dragged and took too long to pick up; the pacing should have been quicker. There were a lot of unrealistic situations and encounters as well.

How can the author improve this book?
Much of the dialogue could have been cut down and the story may benefit from a bit of redevelopment. I would also suggest a new book cover design; the current one doesn't compliment the story.
