Reviewed by: Starr Baldwin Author Eric B. Blackwell penned a wonderfully refreshing read with a title that will make you pause in the beginning. However, the honest and point-blank approach used to encourage others to find their way to God and a personal relationship with Him is uplifting. Skinny Dipping with the Savior begins by addressing what it means to strip yourself before God. Sharing scriptural reference and personal knowledge and experience, author Blackwell explains the process of getting nude before God, as well as the experiences in life and within the walls of our churches that may discourage people from doing so. Blackwell points out that he found that people do love God, but it is His fan club they are not too fond of. Further in the book, relationship basics are shared, as well as how to capture the heart of God. In particular, he shared the lesson of King David when he sinned with Bathsheba. The process of when and how the sin occurred, as well as the correction, rebuke, and finally repentance. Finally, we learn that we are in a battle, but that God can and will prepare us according to His Word. I recommend Skinny Dipping with the Savior to anyone who desires an honest approach to a true relationship with God. What did you like best about this book? What did you dislike about this book?
