Told in the voice of a struggling steadfast 15 year-old, Angel, who hails from the thorny streets of Brooklyn, Miasha's Mommy's Angel will pull readers in by their heart strings. The pure desire to know if little Angel makes it out and wises up in time will keep you turning the pages. Written in a very accessible, and believable tone, the words of Mommy's Angel are easy to digest, making it a simple read for any afternoon. Although some pieces of the story seem a little forced or rushed, the twists will all come as surprises. Overall a nice third effort by Miasha. 1. What did you like best about this book? 2. What did you dislike about this book? 3. How can the author improve this book? "In the midst of all the same voices in literature, Miasha brings authenticity to the pages of this novel. She's the crème de la crème -- enjoy!" "A poignant tale of innocence lost in Brooklyn." "Mommy's Angel is a fast-paced, well-written, realistic view of what addiction does to our communities. It sheds a bright light on how the addict's hurt, pain, and trouble are recycled onto the people closest to them." The views expressed in published reviews are solely those of the reviewer.
