Hearing the word drama draws readers in. In Mizz Drama by LaVon Hayes, Kayla experiences first hand that money doesn't buy you happiness. Episodes of cheating men, betrayal of one of her best friends and a jungle of hate which surrounds her success as an up-and-coming fashion designer, has all tainted Kayla's life, but she doesn't let the growing pains stop her, she still gets everything she wants.

But even with all her success she still can't come to terms with losing the love from her parents and the deceit of her longtime boyfriend Demario. Longevity served its purpose in his and Kayla's relationship. Amongst the two, love was created but it was destroyed with his lying and doggish ways. Making star studded appearances in and out of her heart bought him a one way ticket out of her life. His riches and fame drew more than the spotlight, it also brought along heartache and a new phobia of trusting others with her love.

Ultimately, when she doesn't look, her knight in shining armor appears out of her dreams, capturing her heart with his bow and arrow. Manasi, with his Trinidad demeanor and physical attributes, blinds Kayla from the forth coming heartache that no one saw coming but himself. Manasi was what every girl wanted; dreads to the center of his back and draping imagination to the fullest. Perfection designed for holy matrimony but in turn it was taken from her as she awakens from the dream turned nightmare.

What I liked about this book?
I felt the emotions of the love story. It draws real life humor and tears. I liked the surprises that came toward the end of Mizz Drama.

What I didn't like about the book?
In the beginning, it didn't flow to a beat, maybe this was due to a poor edit. As a result of that, the book slowed down and the rhythm of the story line was hard to find. Some of the details were unrealistic but can be fixed.

How can this author improve this book?
The author can start by hiring a professional editor to structure the story and take out the grammatical errors that stick out like a sore thumb. Despite the errors the author could have given more description as well as distinctions of the characters and settings. Other than that I enjoyed Mizz Drama.

Great Book, does need to work on editing, other than that the details were great and well as storyline. Hopefully, she's working on a sequel or another book to keeps us coming back for more. Don't make us wait too long, much success to you.
