Nathaniel a.k.a. Ice is far from your average, grimy stick up kid. This light-skinned, green eyed character will charm you just as he did the characters in this book. Loving the fast life, Ice has devoted his life to robbing the untouchable drug lords in his neighborhood. But when he robs Supreme, a heavy hitter in a growing drug cartel, a domino effect of murder and mayhem erupts. Things get even seedier, when Ice lands in prison and is tested by the jails homo thug. Told in a style that has been compared to Donald Goines (I am not sure if I would go that far), this is a brutal novel. Slow to start, violent when it does, and filled with a ton of characters (some of which could use better development), this was an okay read—spectacular…NO…alright…yes. 1. I also hated the fact that it left me hanging, but it makes me excited to read the sequel. Overall enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.
