"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," is a line once uttered in William Congreve's play, but Lucio Dutch has defined it with his novel Girlz Night Out. More than a bunch of women grabbing their "freakum" dresses and running to the nearest club. Girlz Night Out highlights the widespread maltreatment of women in all walks of life and forces you to think about the injustices some women are forced to endure each day. In Lucio's tale you will meet five close friends, each on a different chapter of life, but all suffering abuse at the hands of a man. When they each decide enough is enough, revenge is the only thing which occupies their mind. Overall a good insight into a very relevant social issue, but the amount of main characters make this book confusing, but if you stick it out you will be treated to a curve ball thrown in at the end. 1.
