The Dirty South, a tale of the dirtiest dirty written by Darrell “King of the South” King. Live through the eyes of three youngsters growing up in a family of notorious drug lords and criminals. Following the lead of their Uncle Snookey, a ruthless, fearless but business first gangster, who guides them through a hustler’s life down in the Bayou of New Orleans, the youngsters get their start by delivering drug parcels, quickly moving up in ranks to run their own separate business, while their uncle watches their every move. All in all Dirty South is a novel overflowing with action, but in need of a bit more character development. Compared to other stories of the same genre, I would say this was worth the read, if only for the refreshing setting of New Orleans. 1. What did you like best about this book? 2.
