Part three in the Bitch series finds Precious Cummings and her husband, Supreme Mills relishing their lives with their daughter Aaliyah, in Los Angeles. But their serenity is quickly shattered when Pretty Boy Mike escapes from prison. Unsatisfied with his prior attempt at killing Supreme or his rape of Precious, Mike is back to wreak more havoc, especially since Mike feels that Aaliyah is his daughter. With no one aware of his escape, Mike is able to gain one up on his intended targets and sets off a diabolical chain of events.

Mike’s treachery snaps Precious out of her reprieve and as the title implies the bitch is back! Unwilling to allow the police to do their job or even allow Supreme to protect them Precious jumps back into bitch mode to protect her family. Willing to do whatever it takes Precious’ tactics and stubbornness places an undue strain on her marriage. Undaunted Precious continues until she can flush out Mike and the person or persons in her or her husband’s camps who she feels are assisting him.

Author Deja King effectively keeps the Bitch series going with new mayhem and murder. Fans of the first two installments will definitely enjoy part three. Usually followers can tire of a series by the third time around but Ms. King manages to keep it interesting by utilizing intriguing story lines and character consistency.

What did you like about the book?
The author stayed true to the characters, especially with the main character Precious. Character consistency is very rare in sequels making fans leery of reading them due to uncharacteristic behaviors.

What did you dislike about the book?
The cliffhanger! Fans looking for closure will be shocked to see that there is yet another installment in the wings.

What can the author do to improve the book?
I really felt that the series should have ended with part three. Although the next installment’s set up is intriguing, book three should have provided Precious, as well as fans of the series, closure.
